The Abbey Properties team
I’ve been helping to sell people’s houses in West Oxfordshire since 1989, my first encounter with Abbey Properties being work experience from Wood Green School in 1987! I’ve experienced most things the job can throw at you in that time, have a few stories to tell, lived through ever-changing markets and seen the job evolve hugely in the past 30 years. The company hasn’t been able to get rid of me and I’m now a Director of the firm still working on the front-line aspects of the job. I’m married with 3 children. I enjoy a pint of real ale, coaching duties at Witney RFC and Leeds United ….. did I say enjoy?!
I have been in the Oxfordshire property market for over 32 years and have seen many things change in that time. Some good and some not so good.
In my time away from the office I spend a lot of time with my family and I’m kept busy with my young son who is a keen sportsman. I enjoy most sports and many years ago I did participate!!! Although those years are past me now, I do still enjoy skiing. I’m a very keen follower of football and go to watch games home and away, with my son, when we can. We will both chant from the terraces “Oh, when the saints go marching in” (A little clue to who we support!).
I have been part of the Abbey Properties team for 8 years this year and am confident in my role as Sales Negotiator. My dog Ruby is lucky enough to join me at work and snoozes under my desk and welcomes all our Eynsham customers with a friendly wag! With a passion for matching people to property, I strive to maintain high levels of happy buyers’ and sellers’. I find my job most rewarding as moving home is probably one of the biggest changes people make in their lives.
I came to Abbey Properties with over thirty years previous experience in Property Sales and Management.
I am also a writer with two published books and am currently working on a third. I consider myself to be a real people person and love the thrill of matching people to property.
I’ve been working on a Saturday at the Eynsham office now for 7 years and I really love the job. Having grown up in Witney I know most things about the local area and I enjoy getting out to see the properties and building a good rapport with prospective buyers’ to help them find their next home. There is nothing more satisfying than introducing someone to a property they hadn’t previously considered only to find out it’s THE ONE! I’m told I have a calming influence in the office which can be quite useful in this job!
