SITUATION
South Leigh is a small village with a widely spaced layout surrounded by farmland and open countryside boasting lovely walks. Although relatively rural the village is only some 3 miles from both Eynsham and Witney and the A40 is easily accessible both eastwards towards Oxford (c.10 miles) and west towards Burford (c.12 miles) and the Cotswolds. The village has a mixture of period/pre-war properties along with some post-war development and a small scattering of individually built modern properties. There is a child's play area in Lymbrook Close, a renovated Village Hall, St James the Great Parish Church and a beautiful thatched Public House/Boutique Hotel The Mason Arms. Shopping, schools and social/recreational facilities can be found in the lovely Market Town of Witney and neighbouring village of Eynsham.
DIRECTIONS
South Leigh can be accessed from the A40 at Barnard Gate or Witney east. Church End is a small collection of properties at the north end of the village and No. 67 is situated in a no-through road on the left as you approach, opposite St. James the Great Church and close to open farmland.
